TEACHERS

Tulum Dothee, owner and school director, has been involved with Montessori since 1978 and has worked with families since 1971. She holds an Association Montessori Internationale Diploma from London, England in ages 3-6+ years, was trained with the American Montessori Society in toddlers, and holds adult education credentials in child and human development, health education and small business management. Tulum operates Oakhaven, teaches classes in parenting and personal growth, is a certified clinical hypnotherapist in private practice, writes mindful parenting tips articles and newsletters and has a degree in medical assistance. Oakhaven Volunteer Parent Staff:

We are a parent participation school. Who else but a fellow parent is going to be as dedicated to creating the best preschool experience for our children! This is a big part of why Oakhaven is so special.

Megan, Corbin and Damen's mom is here on Mondays doing fun and exciting science projects.  Sometimes she surprises us with delicious treats to make and eat.

Stephanie, Olivia and Violet's Mom is back on Tuesdays!  Stephanie loves to listen to our seniors read.  She was with us for years with Olivia and now we are thrilled to have her back with Violet. This summer she is in charge of goop and slime-we love it!

Tina, Izaiyah and Hosanna's mom helps out on Wednesdays. Tina is Montessori Certified for birth-3 year olds. She received her training in 2003 & has teaching experience with toddlers in the Chicago area from 2002-05. This is Tina's second year here. This summer Tina is teaching us cooperative games to bring us together and have fun.

Jamie, Eva and Lola's mom, is here on Thursdays, keeping us busy in the garden and whipping up cooking projects. Jamie has been here for 4 years and is our lead parent volunteer, she's the one to go to for all your answers!

Ashley, Dahlia & Oliver's mom is here on Tuesday & Friday afternoons creating wonderful craft projects with us.  Dad Isaac, is also here encouraging us to have lots of outdoor physical fun.  This is their third year with us.

Simrit, Siri Amrit's Mom, is here occasionally.  She is a yoga teacher and musician.  Can you believe how lucky we are to have her helping us explore yoga and music! 

Jill, Paige and Liam's mom is here now and then dazzling us with fine arts projects, how cool to have a fine arts teacher as a parent volunteer! Jill helped here when Liam was a peanut and is now back to finish out Paige's time with us.  We will miss you!

Joyce, Gabby and Jade's mom, will be here at summer camp now and then.  We had a great year learning about science with her.  Thank you Joyce!  You might know her as Dr. Joyce, the pediatrician. Wow!
